Chief Clinical Officer – Winchester

  • Assists in making the Blue Ridge Hospice mission and vision a reality for clinical coworkers, patients, and families
  • Directs clinical services in accordance with hospice, governmental, and other regulatory standards, assuring excellent services to our community
  • Reviews organization performance and ensures compliance with accreditation, quality assurance, legal, and other regulatory requirements
  • Assists in development of the organization’s financial plan and monitors the allocation of clinical resources
  • Helps to negotiate provider contracts in collaboration with the CFO when clinical expertise is needed
  • Develops organization and clinical goals and objectives in consultation with the CEO and Chief Medical Officer
  • Has overall responsibility and accountability for the development of staffing plans
  • Develops and implements departmental budgets
  • Responsible for planning for the appropriate utilization of resources & maintaining or improving the work environment
  • Responsible for monitoring & improving the quality & appropriateness of care
  • Lives & role-models the mission, vision, and values of Blue Ridge Hospice
  • Position requires a Master’s Degree in Nursing
  • Candidate should be a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner
  • Requires 7 or more years of professional nursing experience, including 5 years of supervisory level experience; hospice experience preferred
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills
  • Current BLS certification

RN Assessment – (Two Full Time – 40 hours)

  • Performs the assessment function and derives nursing diagnoses based on assessment data.  Coordinates assessment visits with Family Support Services
  • Documents assessment & clinical information in electronic medical record
  • Provides Plan of Care to the team members utilizing voice care system.
  • May act as liaison with WMC and WMH, monitoring in-patients to ensure appropriate care and treatments are authorized by BRH until symptoms are controlled
  • Shares responsibility for weekend rotation.
  • RN License required.  Graduate of an NLN accredited nursing program, Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Hospice experience strongly preferred
  • Position requires minimum of 2 years current acute care experience

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – (Full Time – 40 hours)

  • Position involves travel, within a specified local territory, to patient homes to provide direct patient care and education to Hospice patients and their caregivers.
  • Clarke/Loudoun County and surrounding areas.
  • Current CNA state license required.
  • Under the direction and ongoing supervision of the registered nurse, provides essential personal care assistance to the patient. May involve assistance with bathing, ambulatory needs, exercises, assists with self-administered medication, assists with eating.
  • Takes and records patient’s temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respirations. Reports any changes in the patient’s condition or family situation immediately to the primary nurse.
  • Attends at least twelve (12) hours of continuing education programs or approved audiovisuals per calendar year
  • Previous hospice experienced preferred
  • Must have excellent assessment and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team setting
  • Must be familiar with general use and functions of the computer

RN On Call – (PRN Positions)

  • Seeking experienced nurses who prefers a flexible work schedule
  • Provides both telephone triage symptom management and focused in home visits
  • Requires the ability to drive throughout the service area
  • Requires a willingness to work either evening or night shift and rotating weekends
  • VA RN License required.  Graduate of an NLN accredited nursing program, Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Hospice experience strongly preferred
  • Position requires minimum of 2 years current acute care experience

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Inpatient Care Center – 24 hours

  • Part Time Position based in Winchester, VA
  • Two 12 hours shifts per week (1 day, 1 night)
  • Rotating weekends, holidays, day and nights
  • LPN needed for our 8-bed hospice inpatient unit based in Winchester, VA
  • Current Virginia LPN state license required
  • Position requires minimum of 2 years current acute care experience

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – PRN

  • Looking for PRN candidates
  • 12 hours shifts when working in our Inpatient Care Center (Winchester, VA)
  • Rotating weekends, holidays, day and nights for Inpatient Care Center
  • Position may also cross train to provide home care visits and  involve travel, within a specified local territory
  • Provides direct patient care and education to Hospice patients and their caregivers
  • Works under the supervision of an RN
  • Current LPN state license required
  • Position requires minimum of 2 years current acute care experience
  • Previous hospice experienced preferred
  • Must have excellent assessment and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team setting
  • Must be familiar with general use and functions of the computer

Retail Thrift Associate – Leesburg – (Part Time – up to 24 hours)

  • Leesburg, VA
  • Part time position (19 to 24 hours per week)
  • Prior retail experience required
  • Must demonstrate merchandising skills/experience
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Requires prior experience with cash handling and opening & closing stores
  • Position will include sorting & pricing
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Position requires evening and weekend hours
