Beginning in April, Tammy will participate in a five-month trail ride across America, coordinated and filmed by Best of America by Horseback.  This 1,700-mile ride will travel across eight states and touch three countries.

Tammy has been diligently training and conditioning her horse “Rocky” for this unique test of endurance for horse and rider.  Rocky is a four-year-old Rocky Mountain Horse, who has become a very special part of Tammy’s family.

She plans to dedicate this “Ride of a Lifetime” to the patients and families served by Blue Ride Hospice, and will be accepting pledges for her participation.  It is Tammy's wish that all pledge proceeds directly benefit our not-for-profit organization that has so deeply touched her heart. 

“I am so grateful for the privilege to care for these dear people. They have touched my life so greatly, and have made me who I am”, Tammy said.  “I want to dedicate my ride to the hundreds of patients, families, and co-workers with whom I’ve laughed, cried, and prayed with over the years.”
