Thrift Shops

A visit to one of Blue Ridge Hospice's thrift shops is a shopper's delight due to the wide array of excellent quality items from jewelry and clothing to large furniture. Our merchandise is in excellent condition and well-organized. Additionally, our dedicated staff is eager to help make your shopping experience easy and enjoyable. Proceeds from our thrift shops directly benefit Blue Ridge Hospice to allow us to provide excellent hospice care and assisted living to any individual, regardless of his or her ability to pay.

Our Mission

The mission of the Blue Ridge Hospice Thrift Shops is three-fold. We use proceeds from store sales to provide quality hospice care to residents of Winchester and the counties of Clarke, Frederick, Warren, Shenandoah, Page and Loudoun. We provide high-quality, reasonably priced merchandise to these communities. We also assist those who wish to donate belongings they no longer need.

A Thrift Shop Volunteer explains what volunteering means to her:

During the last 10 years I have been a volunteer for Blue Ridge Hospice thrift shops and truly enjoy each day!  Giving, helping, sharing my free time to sort clothes, tag and display housewares, is very satisfying.  The other volunteers and staff are wonderful to work with, always helpful and fun.  You always feel good after your volunteer hours are over and look forward to going back and starting again.  I feel like I'm giving back some repayment for all the help Hospice gave my family during our crisis.
